How to go live on YouTube, Twitch and Facebook at once

Multistreaming in a few steps: grab your stream keys, add them to StreamRod and reach every audience with one broadcast.

Your audience is spread across platforms. Multistreaming sends one show to all of them at the same time, so nobody has to switch apps to watch you.

Step 1: Get your stream keys

Each platform gives you a server address and a private stream key:

  • YouTube: YouTube Studio → Go live → Stream key.
  • Twitch: Dashboard → Settings → Stream → Primary stream key.
  • Facebook: Live Producer → Streaming software → Stream key.
  • LinkedIn, Kick, X and others: copy the server URL and stream key from the platform.

Treat stream keys like passwords. Anyone who has one can stream to your channel.

Step 2: Add your destinations in StreamRod

Open your studio, choose “Stream to YouTube, Twitch & more”, and add up to five destinations. StreamRod fills in the server address for YouTube, Twitch and Facebook, so you only paste the key.

Step 3: Go live

Start the stream and StreamRod sends your program, with every layout, title and guest, to all of your destinations at once. You can keep recording at the same time, so the episode is ready to publish when you finish.

Tips for a smooth stream

  • Do a short private or unlisted test before your first big show.
  • Use a wired connection if you can; it is far more stable than Wi-Fi.
  • Tell your audience where the chat is happening, since each platform has its own.
